Auditing Research Capacity is a practical tool designed to help organisations identify where they are now in relation to a broad range of RCD indicators to help support the development of action planning for the future.  The development of the indicators has been undertaken in an evidence-based way using research evidence, and capturing the expertise of research managers, research facilitators, research practitioners and RDSU representatives. The background to the development of the principles and indicators can be found in published papers by Cooke (2005) and Sarre & Cooke (2008).
